My traditional stick chairs are individually handmade in the style of early Welsh stick chairs, constucted of locally sourced hardwoods, using traditional tools and techniques. Each of my stick chairs is individual and unique.

I chose to make this charming little child's chair in the very old traditional way with hewn legs and supports to give a lovely rustic look and be robust enough to take a few hard knocks, also a slightly wider than usual seat to give more years of pleasure as the child grows up. Strong and sturdy this will pass down the generations and be a treasured heirloom.

The seat is made in Elm and the rest of the chair in Oak.

This chair is made to order with a lead time of 3-4 weeks subject to timber availability.

Dimensions: seat H13" overall H20" - all sizes are approx. to ½”

As all my chairs are individually handcrafted I would recommend that you collect your chair in person to ensure that it is suitable for your requirements. In the event that this is not possible a courier can be arranged at their then charges.

About us

bowtie

My interest in early Celtic country chairs developed over the years during my time spent living and working in Ireland, England and Wales; I have now settled back in England to continue my craft from my workshop in Shropshire.  My hope is that my handcrafted chairs will bring as much pleasure to you, the new owner, as I had in the making of them.
