A lifelong passion for wood, a deep interest in vernacular furniture and 4 decades of acquiring wood working skills and techniques have together led to an overriding passion for producing uniquely individual, traditional handcrafted wood chairs.
I discovered a love of wood as a boy watching my father create delicate pieces of marquetry.
Since then I have been involved in antique restoration, furniture making, wood turning and I now concentrate on traditional handmade chairs and occasional furniture.
My interest in early Celtic country chairs developed over the years during my time spent living and working in Ireland, England and Wales; I have now settled back in England to continue my craft from my workshop in Shropshire.
You are always welcome to visit here to view my work or to discuss your requirements, be it for one of my chairs or any other piece of furniture.
I also undertake restoration work for those of you who treasure your heirlooms and prefer to keep them rather than replace them.
My hope is that my handcrafted chairs will bring as much pleasure to you, the new owner, as I had in the making of them.
