My chairs are individually handmade in the style of early Welsh stick chairs, constructed of locally sourced hardwoods, using traditional tools and techniques. Each of my chairs is individual and unique.
This unusual, but very stylish, 4 stick chair is of a clean, uncluttered design with octagonal Oak legs, a finely shaped Elm seat arms and crest, and straight Ash sticks. The wedged joints are in a contrasting wood giving a decorative feature as well as showing the skill of the craftsman. As with all my chairs, attention to detail makes this traditional chair comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and a great addition to any home.
Although the design of all stick chairs is essentially the same, there are many variations of style: by changing the shape of the arms, or altering the line of the crest, for example, the chair can be given a completely different look whilst still remaining true to tradition. The 'options' allow for this chair to be customised to suit individual requirements. Alternatively, contact me for more specific requirements.

Your handmade chair is made to order with a lead time of 3-4 weeks.
As my chairs are individually handcrafted I would recommend that you collect your chair in person to ensure that it is comfortable and suits your personal requirements. In the event that this is not possible a courier can be arranged at their then charges.
My interest in early Celtic country chairs developed over the years during my time spent living and working in Ireland, England and Wales; I have now settled back in England to continue my craft from my workshop in Shropshire. My hope is that my handcrafted chairs will bring as much pleasure to you, the new owner, as I had in the making of them.
